Goodale Park is a public park in the Victorian Village area of Columbus, Ohio. It was donated to the city in 1851 by Lincoln Goodale. For a few months during the Civil War, it was a staging area for Union troops known as Camp Jackson. Map.
When the city used the park as a temporary camp for Civil War soldiers in 1861, Dr. Goodale wrote to City Council threatening to take back the land if it wasn’t used to his specifications. The soldiers were relocated. Goodale Park has changed substantially over the years. In the 1870s, it hosted a menagerie.

Oct 1, 2023 · Goodale Park is a very large park located near downtown Columbus. It hosts ComFest every year which is a 3 day community festival with music, great food and a huge bazaar. Always fun to go people watching and rock out with some great local bands.
