Literary Magazines for Writers. This list of the best UK literary magazines and journals are all accepting submissions from authors and poets. There are fiction magazines accepting short stories, poetry magazines accepting submissions and online magazines and journals.
Submissions reopen 1 March to 1 April, 2025 for Issue 4 (Summer 2025). We gladly accept work submitted for Paid Feedback and Editorial Services throughout the year. Following our Submissions Guidelines significantly increases your chances of publication.
Submissions. What can I submit to the European Review of Books? We welcome reviews and essays, broadly considered (the essay is a flexible form). We will consider full drafts as well as well-wrought pitches. All pieces will go through our (often intensive!) process of editing.
For fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry submissions, please refer to the guidelines listed under our general submissions. For interviews and book reviews, submissions should not exceed 3000 words or 12 pages and should be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, in manuscript format, and submitted as .docx files
