Jeff Irwin (born June 19, 1977) [1] is an American activist, progressive and politician serving as a member of the Michigan Senate. A member of the Democratic Party, [2] he served on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners from 1999 to 2010, and in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017.
Senator Jeff Irwin is a fearless advocate for the environment, public education, and criminal justice reform, among other areas. He is serving his second term in the Michigan Senate.
As your next state senator, I will put my experience to work fighting for a better education system, an economy that works for everyone, and equal rights for all citizens. I am from Sault Ste Marie, MI, but I have lived in Ann Arbor since 1995.
