Jun 29, 2019 · On June 24, 2019, the world lost the legendary bluegrass musician Jeff Austin at the age of 45. Austin was a founding member of the popular n ewgrass group Yonder Mountain String Band, and later the front man for his own group, the Jeff Austin Band.
Remembering Jeff Austin on the anniversary of his birth. Born April 25th, 1974 in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Jeff learned the mandolin and joined The Bluegrassholes before co-founding the Yonder Mountain String Band.
