The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) provides legal advice and support to the Attorney General and the Solicitor General (the Law Officers) who give legal advice to government. The AGO helps the Law Officers perform other duties in the public interest, such as looking at sentences which may be too low.
AGO is a ministerial department, supported by 4 agencies and public bodies.

Sep 11, 2021 · Ohio’s 51 st Attorney General, Dave Yost was sworn into office January 14, 2019, bringing with him extensive experience rooting out corruption and fraud, and fighting for increased government accountability and transparency.
Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, he was the associate vice president of state relations at The Ohio State University. From 2019 to 2022, he led the state and federal lobbying efforts as the director of policy and legislation for Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.

David Anthony Yost (born December 22, 1956) is an American politician and lawyer who currently serves as the 51st Attorney General of Ohio. A member of the Republican Party, Yost previously served as Ohio State Auditor.
