The El Dorado County Assessor's office offers a free program for filing property statements electronically through a secure Internet site. If you are required to file a 571-L Business Property Statement, or a 571-A Agricultural Property Statement, you are eligible to file electronically.

Find a Deed Using Only The Property Address
First, go to the El Dorado County Assessor’s Office Online Property Search website. You can search for property records by assessment number, parcel number, or street address. Select “Street Address” as the search criteria. Fill in the house number and street name (both are required) and run the search. Find a Deed Offline
If you are unable to search for a deed online or can’t find it online after looking, you can request and purchase a copy of any recorded document in person, by email, by fax, or by mail. See the next section for how to do that.

To find property owners in El Dorado County, follow the search processes in steps 1 and 2 of “Find a Deed Using Only the Property Address” above. Once you locate the deed in step 2, you'll see the grantor/grantee information. The grantee on the most recent deed is the current owner, and the grantor is the seller.

Go to the El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk Office Official Records Index. Select “Official Records Search - Web” and then “Assessor Parcel Number Search - Web.” Enter the APN found on the property details page in Step 1 of “Find a Deed Using Only The Property Address” above.
