  2. Dec 4, 2023 · I love Alice Hoffman’s books and this book did not disappoint me. Marriage of Opposites is an amazing story about Rachel Pomie, the mother of Camille Pissarro (the father of impressionism). Rachel is an orthodox Jewish woman living on the Island of Saint Thomas.
