Winger is an American rock band formed in New York City, in 1987. Winger gained popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s with two platinum albums, Winger and In the Heart of the Young, along with charting singles "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away".

Roth has played on the following Winger albums: Winger IV (2006) Winger Live (2007), Karma (2009) Better Days Coming (2014). John Roth got his big break playing for Black Oak Arkansas when he was just 19.
