As far as I know, the diagram on page P.X.s.28 IS the diagram for all Series 1 4.2 cars from the early 1965 models (some of which were manufactured in 1964) up to the demarcation point identified in the legend (which is itself confusing - see my earlier post).

In reply to a message from Tferrer sent Sat 30 Apr 2016: I choose understandability over readability and went with the multi-page diagram offered by XKs and possibly others. Breaking each subsystem down into its own diagram on a separate page makes it much easier for me to work with.

Aidan, I recently put in a new bonnet harness in my 1967 FHC (using the helpful tips from Jerry) and it was slightly different than earlier 4.2 S1s. The 3AW was the most significant difference as my car is at the end of the S1 production, but there others including the tach wires.
