The Israel Film Service collection is available online on the Israel Film Archive website as part of a joint venture by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage under the government’s national Landmarks scheme which includes the digitisation reform towards the enhancement of national heritage infrastructures.
The Israeli Film Archive is home to hundreds of film collections which chronicle the land’s history, practically from as far back as the advent of the movie camera. These collections are comprised of feature-length fiction films, documentaries, newsreels, student films, public service ads, art films, home movies, and lots more.
The films created by Israeli filmmakers are innovative, challenging, and fascinating, capturing critics and audiences' attention throughout the world. Most Israeli films are supported by five Israeli film funds funded by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the State of Israel.
