  4. What is the difference between the Yale Department of Music and the Yale School of Music? The Yale Department of Music offers curricular instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are part of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and offer study towards the B.A. and Ph.D. in music.
