I lost interest a few episodes into season 2. The characters stories are all pretty depressing and none really show a “normal” family with common working mom struggles that I expected to see. There were a couple of sentiments sprinkled in that I could relate to but they were fleeting comments only. Reply reply.
As a mom, I do find the show relatable. Some parts are hilarious, some parts are devastating, some parts are things I would absolutely never do but every mom is different. I especially find Kate relatable to me because she's ambitious and career-focused but trying to be a mom, too.
Although the plot is vastly different, Workin Moms for me has the very same dramedy vibe. Lots of humor, moms who don't seem super connected to their children, skewed morals, good soundtrack (not the level of GG but still good).
