Williams' reputation for academic excellence is certainly well deserved. Classes are highly challenging in the right ways - they seek to change the way that students approach the world (often while buried under piles of homework).

Aug 10, 2019 · Yes, graduate schools and Wall Street/ Silicon Valley/ etc. employers will be impressed by Williams. But most of your distant relatives, high school classmates, and friendly grocery cashiers etc. who ask where you are going to college, will not have heard of it.
Williams has 18 top ranked majors. The best ranking is for Bachelor's Degree Social Sciences students. Some of the factors that go into the Best Social Sciences Bachelor's Degree Schools Ranking include major focus and popularity, as well as the salaries of graduates.
Not a current student, but I was accepted and Williams was one of my top choices. Ultimately, I don’t think that there are really any objective “cons” to Williams. Rather, you have to look at aspects such as class size, environment, teaching style, etc. to determine whether or not it fits you.
TLDR: Williams is a rich kid school. I won't be applying, but I'm sure every student who attends is given the chance to benefit from an excellent education.
