  3. The Graham Visitors Center (GVC) and Arboretum Gift Shop are open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and GVC restrooms are open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily, accessible only from the exterior of the building.

    Large park, over 200 acres, free and open dawn to dusk. We got a bus to the park, about half an hour from city. This drops you and the bottom of the park. Easy walking paths, most wide. A map at this point would be useful, as if you start here, the visitor centre isn’t until you are almost half way round which wasn’t much help.

  7. The CD, Madrona & Madison Park. This wild and lovely park stretching from Madison Valley up to Union Bay offers a wide variety of gardens, a wetlands nature trail and 200 acres of mature forest threaded by paths. More than 5500 plant species grow within the arboretum’s boundaries.

  8. Open every day from dawn to 8 p.m., the arboretum is free to enter. The on-site gift shop and visitor center have more limited hours, which are subject to change.
