  2. Apr 4, 2023 · Re: Is this genuine BT email? I've just had a similar one, purportedly from btcomms@laylahillauthor.com. Again, not a BT domain, so clearly a scam. I've reported it to BT and Action Fraud. Seems there must be a current wave of these that BT's spam filters are failing to recognise and block. 0 Ratings.

If its seemingly from BT, forward as attachment to phishing@bt.com, if not report@phishing.gov.uk. Handling scam texts. If you can see the number, check whether it's genuine by searching online.
