   • However there are plenty of other folks making knock-offs of the Bo-mar style sight, including Wilson. I would think there's a lot of "equity" in the Bomar name...hard to believe it couldn't be sold and continue on.

Secondly, our sight blade is entirely cut from one piece of steel, i.e. the windage screw tube is not silver-brazed to the blade like on the originals.

   What's the difference between a Bomar & a 1911?

   • The modern production 1911 - high visibility sights, beavertail grip safety, aluminum trigger, good trigger pull, enhanced slide/ frame fit, accurized barrel/bushing fit. If it’s not a Kimber, it’s a copy. VarCon I measured my Springfield with the LPA. It has a .170" front sight. The body of the LPA is a bit thicker than the Bomar.

   5 days ago · Location: Henry's Fork. The Bomar sight picture is the best around. Nothing better for sight crankers. I might choose a YoBo or a Yam or a Heinie but the sight picture I want is the Bomar. The Bomar does offer a chance for nice detail on sinking the sights low and fitting around the windage screw.
