   I watched There's Something About Mary (1998) '90s. I love any film by the Farrelly brothers. My boyfriend said that he'd never seen it 🥺 He was cracked up more than once. I think he got sick of me going "fuck sake" everytime the singer appeared. "His friends would say stop whining..." gets stuck on my head. Apart from that, it's a classic film.

   Honestly, I think they had a few good comedies but are overall mediocre filmmakers. They hit rock bottom with Movie 43, a movie so bad the stars tried to prevent its release. Peter branches off from Bobby to do Green Book and it’s the best film he’s ever been attached to, IMHO. I never understood the undying love for Dumb and Dumber.

   Is Mary a good movie?

   • Mary received nominations from the Golden Globes, found it's way onto greatest comedies lists galore, and generally seemed like a memorable pinpoint in cinema history. And yet, it sort of feels forgotten? Maybe this is anecdotal, but I never see it on lists I would expect (best comedies of the 90s, best raunchy films, best sex comedies, etc.).
