In 2014, the theater and building were designated a Seattle landmark. The Neptune Theatre is operated by the non-profit Seattle Theatre Group, which also operates the Paramount Theatre and Moore Theatre. It is one of several venues that host the annual Seattle International Film Festival.
Neptune Theatre History. The Neptune Theatre was the vision of brother and sisters – Dr. Earl Roy Fried, Bertha Foote and Nettie Fries and has remained under the ownership of their descendants. Designed by architect, Henderson Ryan, it was first leased by the Puritan Theatre Company.
