The characters are pretty dumb and not behave like real thieves, the protagonist backstory is lame, is just there to victimize her so we can in someway rot for her surviving. The movie is also full of conveniences. I do think it's mostly good, but it has a lot of flaws too. 2. Reply.

Don't Breathe is directed by Fede Alvarez, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rodo Sayagues. They obviously felt inspired by David Fincher's Panic Room (2002), and did come up with a great, suspenseful movie. The three burglars are played by Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette and Daniel Zovatto, who all do a great job.
