Plot. 1901: Half-breed Juliette Flores sees her tribe and village slaughtered by Mexican troops. Still a child, she takes revenge by slipping into the home of the soldiers' commander, General Juarez, and cutting his throat in his bedroom.
The Last Rites of Ransom Pride tells the story of those left behind after the criminal and gunfighter Ransom Pride, played by Scott Speedman, is killed. There's his partner and lover who has promised to take his body back to his home and bury him next to his mother, a woman who has also decided to seek some revenge for is death.
Set in Glory, Texas and the Mexican border, The Last Rites of Ransom Pride is a rather dull action Western. The story deals with prostitute Juliette Flowers (Lizzie Caplan) and her quest to claim the body of her murdered lover, the titular scoundrel Ransom Pride (Scott Speedman).

The Last Rites of Ransom Pride is an old west run and gun action film, with touches of the dramatic, and excellent unintrusive comic relief. The intro belies a highly entertaining film, as the opening credits honestly look like they were made with Windows movie maker, but this is quickly set aside with a sterling intro to the story.
