It is far more than just a “military science fiction” book, with its philosophical deep-dives into the mass human psyche and incredible reflections on war.
When I was looking for a new book to read, I saw a lot of commenters praising The Forever War, saying how incredible it is and is one of the best Sci-Fi books ever. I went and picked it up the same day. I just finished it, and I didn't really like it at all.
