I especially loved how instead of having a “bad guy” who just loses it Jack Nicholson style, it chose to focus on the entire cast’s individual ways of coping/descending into madness. The movie felt like it knew you were just waiting for someone to snap, and played on that expectation beautifully.
Good to know that movies like this must have an exposition for stronghead people who strongly believe their own opinion and nothing else.
If you're in the mood for a horror film, and not goofy horror like The Nun, but horror intended to disgust and y'know, horrify, then I cannot recommend The Divide enough. This movie perfectly pulls of its purpose of inducing feelings of disgust, sympathy, and despair.

May 16, 2017 · Another entry in the people-are-shit horror stakes, this international feature from French director Xavier Gens (Frontiere(s)), scripted by Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean (whose Errors of the Human Body I like much more), has an impressive cast and a decent set-up but really doesn’t have enough new to say to be worth suffering through.
