I think part of what makes The Divide so disturbing is how grounded it is, how, even though it’s an entirely original story with original characters, nothing about it is fantastical, or special, or really even that unique when you get down to it.
The Divide (2011) is one of the most underappreciated gems of a film I've ever seen. I mean really, The Divide is incredible. I won't pretend it's comparable to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I will say that it is definitely one of the best horror movies I've ever seen, and it hasn't aged poorly.
