We all have something that makes us different. These girls were cool regardless of their outward appearances, because they were smart and they supported each other.
Even though it was rated R, no one’s parents seemed to mind the fact that you and your 12-year-old friends were watching a pretty terrifying movie.
Witches, wizards, vampires, and zombies all have this one little movie to thank for becoming so popular.
Sure, it’s no Avatar, but the fact that they pulled these stunts off in a ‘90s movie about witches made it a movie so many people could enjoy.

In the opening scenes of “The Craft,” a teenage girl and her family move into a vast, crumbling old mansion, overgrown with vines and apparently set within decaying wetlands. Soon an ominous man arrives at the door, holding a snake. Soon he leaves.
I realized watching it again that it's not just about the power of witchcraft, though it was the first (and one of the only) times I've seen a horror movie in which the horror is not from the witchcraft itself, but how the characters use it.
The Craft: Directed by Andrew Fleming. With Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True. A newcomer to a Catholic prep high school falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who anger them.
