In my opinion phoenix has versatility but mastering it is kinda hard instead with thanos its basic and effective u need to select playstyle in both but thanos seems more adjustable and flexible. both are brain dead cancers, phoenix takes a little more skill but you'll just be spamming yyy and yyr.

Phoenix is the better hero but requires a lot of skill to master that 95% of Phoenix users don’t have. Thanos on the other hand is still a very good hero and if you can get a solid start, he’ll snowball like crazy. Personally if I were to recommend one I’d say Thanos; even more so considering your new to the game.
