Tekkaman Blade is anime's best kept secret imo. The art quality of this show is some of the worst I've ever seen at points (obligatory meme). Especially in the early run of episodes where it genuinely doesn't look much better than the 1975 Tekkaman during a lot of the space battles.
There is such a cruel irony to the finale. Takaya pretended to have amnesia for the first part of the show, but then is hit with impending neuron breakdown in the second act. Similarly, the opening run of episodes have a distinct feeling that he's forcing himself into the role of Tekkaman Blade.
It was predicted since 1973 so that wasn't Tomino's third eye, but it still leaves a funny effect that it happened in Gundam first. Reply reply Nazenn
