Movie Review. The movie plays out like a pretty early slasher imo. Of course, Joan Crawford absolutely demolishes everyone else this movie. The way her character slowly seems to unravel more and more until the absolutely bonkers ending was so good.
Though still mentally shaky, convicted axe-murderess Lucy Harbin (Joan Crawford) is released from the asylum where she was sent 20 years ago for slaying her unfaithful husband.

Its plot follows a woman who, having murdered her husband and his lover decades prior, is suspected of a series of axe murders following her release from a psychiatric hospital .
