Jun 26, 2019 · Location and Hours. The St. Louis Art Museum is located on Fine Arts Drive the heart of Forest Park, near the St. Louis Zoo. The museum sits at the top of Art Hill. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m., on Friday.
The main building, dating from the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, is in the elegant Beau Arts style.Museum admission is free. Art lovers could easily spend an entire day here. If not, the world renowned St. Louis Zoo is within a short walk.

Absolutely Amazing FREE Zoo! Couldn’t believe it when a St. Louis local told us this zoo was free as well as awesome, so we had to check it out. The park is gorgeous and well-kept. Tons of incredible animals with large enclosures, yet still allowed us to easily see all the animals!

We’ve been to zoos all over the country and hands down, St Louis is our favorite. It’s nestled in a large, beautiful park and close to the art museum which is also worth a visit.

Jun 26, 2019 · Sure, there are plenty of friendly animals for kids to touch and see. But the Children's Zoo is more like a giant playground, and the animals are just there to play too. There's a see-through slide through an otter pool, and kangaroo's play right alongside an indoor playset.
