   • Sleeping Dogs just feels very deliberate. When you remove the shades of nostalgia it has great pacing and writing still. All round it does just feel more concise. I can play through it every year. But if I go boot up gta v, iv or rdr2 I just end up messing around in the open world for a bit and uninstalling.

   • Mafia 2 is pretty good. Mafia 3 is garbage though Graphics is the only thing RDR2 has going for it vs Sleeping Dogs. Sleeping Dogs is just the better game though and Rockstar's formula doesn't even compare. How so exactly? Best open world game of all time I'm so sad we never got a sequel!!    • Sleeping dogs rules, but it's a ton of style, very little substance. The game plays the "kill a character right as something good is about to happen" trick like 3 times, and I would get laughed at if I wrote a character as trite as Pendrew. I want to stress that I ADORE Sleeping Dogs, but it is no Red Dead 2.

   I sincerely hope the developers do a sequel to Sleeping Dogs, whether it is with Wei Shen or not. Verdict: I invested 17 hours with the game and experienced most of what it had to offer. I think 15 to 30 hours would be an average life expectancy for your time with the game.

   Jul 7, 2018 · The combat is totally different, Sleeping Dogs focuses more on being an open world sandbox game whereas Yakuza gives the appearance of being open, but is much more linear. Yakuza is also kind of wacky, lots of goofy stuff to do in it.
