The University of the South, familiarly known as Sewanee (/ səˈwɑːni /), [7][8] is a private Episcopal liberal arts college in Sewanee, Tennessee. It is owned by 28 southern dioceses of the Episcopal Church, and its School of Theology is an official seminary of the church.
Sewanee offers ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance styles with accompanying courses that focus on composition and production. All classes take place in the professionally equipped dance studio in the Tennessee Williams Center.
