Rome2Rio is a trip planner that shows you every type of transport you need to get from door-to-door anywhere in the world. Type in two addresses, cities or landmarks and see a choice of journey options that stitch together flights, transfers, trains, ferries and buses.
Rome2rio is a good site for planning. The prices quoted are often off by quite a bit. Some good, some bad. I find it more useful as a guide to search the services separately. Note that it doesn't seem to be a dishonest price gouge, just inaccurate. Often if you click the links on the site the accurate prices are found.

I use rome2rio for options, but I tend to find their price estimates low. Instead, I use www.seat61.com and have found their prices for routes to be very accurate (I book last minute too so you may do better if you book ahead).
