I've got a 3 month, 25+ city trip in Europe this summer. Never traveled before... I am trying to figure out if Eurail is worth it and would like recommendations on websites for booking inter-Europe travel. Rome2rio, trainline, omio, hopper, hostelworld.
Go through the websites of the trains, buses (FlixBus), or ferry companies directly as been previously stated; most of them are in English too, just look hard for the British flag etc. If not use translator to avoid the ‘service fees’ Trainline and Omio have.
Mar 2, 2021 · I updated Rome2Rio on an Eastern European bus line and they got back to me really quickly. Rome2Rio is one of the best sites for figuring out bus and train service. In this case I needed to go from Sofia Bulgaria to Serbia. There usually is an early bus but they had changed the time and the bus website did not have the information.
Rome2rio is a good site for planning. The prices quoted are often off by quite a bit. Some good, some bad. I find it more useful as a guide to search the services separately. Note that it doesn't seem to be a dishonest price gouge, just inaccurate. Often if you click the links on the site the accurate prices are found.
