'Ride in the Whirlwind', for that matter, is not just a western movie but a political and social tale. Good performance by Cameron Mitchell. A young Jack Nicholson, with a distant but correct performance,seems to be comfortable in a western adventure, a genre that he never tries today.

Feb 1, 2020 · For all its flaws, Ride in the Whirlwind is certainly worth a watch, especially if you combine it as a double-bill with The Shooting, which you should, because look at this beautiful looking double-feature that Criterion are doing. Yes please.
