Rampart Reservoir is a favorite fishing spot of mine. There's lots of shoreline and, depending on how far you're willing to walk, any number of "hot spots." The reservoir receives it's regular allotment of rainbow, cutbow, etc. trout, all of "stocker" size, 10-13 inches.

Jun 10, 2020 · Today, as I write, there are no English anglers to be seen. Everyone is at home, fretting as to when normality can resume. Holding the fort, the rampart, is the grey heron, all alone, as he likes it. While nobody has taken more fish from the water, his never make it to newsprint.
