In March 2020, the Queen’s Women’s Network held a dinner at the University Women’s Club in London and hosted a conversation with the College’s first female Provost, Dr Claire Craig, with questions submitted by the audience.

Charity fundraising, volunteering and working with the local community are all an integral part of life here at Queen’s. From the moment pupils arrive in Class 3 (year 7), they are encouraged to fundraise individually or as part of a team for each House’s chosen charity.
In October 1979, Queen’s admitted its first female undergraduates. This was, of course, a key moment in the College’s history that fundamentally changed Queen’s forever. But there were women who were associated – not members, but associated – with the College before 1979.
