The Plex app works okay for streaming, but it doesn’t have the Apple CarPlay feature, Prism music has it and works well. I also needed the ability to download my music to my phone as I like to play my FLAC music files in the best quality without eating all my data.. again prism delivers on this front and without the need to subscribe to a PlexPass.

Apr 11, 2019 · Aside from offline playback, Prism also runs great on the iPad, making excellent use of the additional screen real estate to display both the artist list and the album/track list simultaneously. The developer even refers to the iPad version as “first class” right on the app’s homepage , which is quite reassuring to me, given that the iPad is my primary personal computer.
To update manually, open the App Store, tap your account in the upper right and find Prism in the list. The new album view with record label + review The new (very basic) equalizer. For the past couple of years I’ve been developing a music app for iOS aimed at people who prefer to curate their own music collection rather than sign up for a streaming service. Since this line of thinking fits the Plex philosophy perfectly (and I was already using Plex for other media), I decided to just integrate the app with Plex directly.
