Nottinghamshire (/ ˈnɒtɪŋəmʃər, - ʃɪər /; [4] abbreviated Notts.) is a ceremonial county in the East Midlands of England. The county borders South Yorkshire to the north-west, Lincolnshire to the east, Leicestershire to the south, and Derbyshire to the west.
