The I Love Nenagh Neon sign was inspired by a piece written by author Donal Ryan about his love of Nenagh and the famous Milton Glaser, I Love NY poster. The sign will be the Tipperary colours blue and yellow and is on the door of the tourist office.
These days, Nenagh is a large commercial town with numerous places to eat and shop as well as visitor attractions like Nenagh Castle, Heritage Centre and Courthouse. You can journey to nearby Lough Derg and watch colourful boats sail by, rent a kayak and paddle on the serene waters, or discover great angling on the banks of the lake.
Jul 16, 2024 · Nenagh, County Tipperary lies on the banks of the Nenagh River which empties into Lough Derg at Dromineer (nine kilometres to the north-west) which is a popular centre for sailing and water sports. The Silvermines Mountain range lies to the south of the town (highest peak Keeper Hill at 694 metres).

It was in and around this area that an ancient fair, known as aonach urmhumhan (Ormond) would have taken place. Nenagh is the administrative capital of North Tipperary, and straddles the border of Lower and Upper Ormond baronies.
