The expectedly intense performances from its big names anchor Morituri’s talky yet tense wartime ticking-clock. Brando’s anxious cunning ever teetering on the cusp of being exposed, opposite Brynner’s disgruntled anti-Nazi captain surrounded by party fanatics and conscripted prisoners.
OVERALL – 3.75/5. Overall, Morituri is a well made World War II drama featuring two great performances from Marlon Brando and Yul Brynner. The Blu-ray release from Twilight Time features great video and audio transfers though the bonus material was lacking.
