May 31, 2022 · With impressive cinematography at every stage, the film hinges on two magnificent slow, circular sequences, one in the middle and one at the end, each of which resets the narrative. They’re directed with incredible precision, almost flawless, whilst packing in a wealth of incident and meaning.
The miracle of the title was initially cathartic but was somewhat muted by a following revelation that took the mood down a few notches. Special props to the acting by the guy who played the main detective - he did a great job!
Jun 2, 2022 · Miracle is really two films in one. For the first half of the film you are watching the story of a young, novice nun (Ioana Bugarin) who sneaks out of of the monastery with the help of a friend. Together, they and the nun’s taxi driver brother attend to a personal matter.
