Dec 22, 2016 · Hell House By Richard Matheson. Steve Calvert. I have always enjoyed a good haunted house story and Hell House is exactly that—a good haunted house story. In fact it is one of the best that I have ever read. It is also the book that inspired the film The Legend of Hell House, starring Roddy McDowall, Gayle Hunnicutt and Peter Bowles.
The story was also adapted as a comic book mini-series, Richard Matheson's Hell House, written by Ian Edginton, with art by Simon Fraser. It was published in 2004 by IDW Publishing and collected as a trade paperback in 2008.
