Was doing some perusing of the ODST armor wiki page, and the article makes several statements about various components the armor, mainly the helmet but also the chest plate and shoulder plates, being compatible with MJOLNIR suits.
From Halo 5, we know that the older Marks are compatible with GEN2, as we see Mark V-5 armor available. With the recent Spirit of Fire DLC on Infinite, it is also canonized that older Marks (such as IV and V-B) are available as platforms on GEN3 armor.
On the GEN1 platform, ODST usage with MJOLNIR largely consists of standard shoulder pauldrons and chest plate on top of the default MJOLNIR Mark V (B) MJOLNIR. The ODST helmet, however, is compatible with both the Mark V [2] and Mark VI systems, seeing the use of many technologies initially developed for the MJOLNIR program. [3]
