Marge had a bit of a point, in that Lurleen was openly flirting with Homer right in front of her, and in her songs. I can understand that feeling a bit uncomfortable. But Marge was clearly jealous before she and Lurleen had even met. And besides, it takes two people to have an affair.
Marge, now well into her third trimester of pregnancy, finds Homer and convinces him to come back home with her. Homer feels ashamed and unworthy to be Marge's husband as he is not able to afford an appropriate wedding ring, but Marge tells him any ring is fine, so long as it is from him.
