Oct 14, 2024 · The titles are “Maigret and the Wine Merchant” (translated by Marian Schwarz) and “Maigret’s Madwoman” (translated by Sian Reynolds), and these are the newer, most recently translated versions in Penguin’s series of re-issues. I’m quite happy with older renderings where I have them, but *have* found the new versions absolutely fine, with a consistency of voice over both types.
