Mar 26, 2022 · I’ve seen Macbeth several times and agree the Polanski version is good for students. It might be good to actually watch different versions. Have you bought the York notes for Macbeth. That will give you summaries of key themes, characters etc and selective quotes to use as evidence.

McKellen and Judi Dench is fantastic, but filmed in the 60s, not sure if your students would find it too "old fashioned". The RSC production with Christopher Eccleston and one of the Cusacks was good, from 2018 ish I think. You can find it online on Drama Online, or get the dvd from the RSC shop.
