It's like making some kind of artistic painting vs. making a photo album and the former appeals to me more. Regarding the lore, I don't really like it in either game, but the story is similar to the point that I felt some elements in SN were rehashed from LN. Imo, Love Nikki is the best-looking 2D dress up game atm.
Love Nikki is a great game to play a a f2p player, imo. Sure, there are certain "suits" (aka outfits) that you can only get for money, but there are SO MANY beautiful outfits you can get without spending a dime! There's lots of outfits you can get just by farming stages, buying for gold (the easier currency to get), or crafting.
