- While the majority of the Sixth Form are girls continuing their education at Loreto following their GCSEs, we do allocate a number of places to external students. In September 2013 we were delighted to welcome boys as full-time students, making Loreto Sixth Form co-educational.

Loreto became a co-educational 6th Form college which continued to serve the needs of the Manchester area. The years had taken their toll on the original buildings and those added by the Loreto community.

The 266 students of the school's sixth form are expected to support the ethos and values of the school and show the ability to follow an academic AS/A2 level course or the International Baccalaureate course.
The Sixth Form at Loreto has a strong tradition of excellent results earned by hard work on the part of teachers and students. We encourage a greater degree of maturity and independence from our students and expect to be able to treat them as young adults.
