Dec 15, 2022 · Make no mistake. There is a genuine scam in the life-coaching industry. However, every industry has scams including the largest financial institutions in the world, that we all trusted (think the real estate crash of 2008 with Bernie Madoff or Enron). But it’s not what you might expect….
- “Life Coaches are just people who charge huge amounts to tell you what to do. How are they qualified for that?!” Unfortunately, this perception of coaching persists because there are a lot of big-name coaches who do just this – act as a self-appointed authority who doles out advice (or worse, orders) on what you should be doing to solve all your problems and live a fantastic life.

Most decent life coaches will engage in content marketing; the practice of putting out free content to show off their knowledge. So, browse the web to see what they have made for you to consume. Look for something on their social media pages too. They might not have a back catalog of content to match Tony Robbins, but it’s reasonable to expect some...

However, they do have the skills to help you find these things for yourself. Every person has blind spots and limiting beliefs preventing them from reaching their true potential. These mental hurdles are...
Most life coaches will make time for a free discovery call to see if potential clients would be a good fit. Never hand over money without completing a discovery call.
