  8. The name Lancaster refers to a Roman fort which stood by The River Lune and was once where Lancaster Castle now is. Walking up from The Millennium Bridge towards the castle there’s evidence of this in the remains of a bathhouse on the left. I thought it would be interesting to chart the journey the river makes from source to mouth.
