We've now made it safer and easier for passengers to travel along La Trobe Street, with 12 new level access tram stops along now complete. The stops have been installed in both directions at Docklands Stadium and the intersections with Spencer Street, William Street, Elizabeth Street, Swanston Street and Exhibition Street.
La Trobe Street was the last remaining CBD tram corridor without accessible tram stops. Alongside Yarra Trams , we’ve build 12 new level-access tram stops along La Trobe St, making your journey safer and more accessible.

The Department of Transport’s 2021-22 Annual Report revealed that just two Victorian tram stops were upgraded to include level-access. In the last year, upgrades to six stops on the CBD stretch of La Trobe St were promised by the government.
